A young psychiatrist named Nozomu grows determined to validate his rejected theory that unresolved adolescent conflicts underlie many women's emotional struggles. He gathers three married women for a private trial, outfitting them in sailor uniforms as part of an effort to recreate and improve upon their school years through hypnosis. In this opening session, he begins guiding them gently toward revisiting those formative memories, hoping the process will ease their present concerns. The experiment's first steps unfold with careful focus on each participant's individual history.
